The Mountain Pointer is a first generation cross between two of the finest breeds ever developed — the German Shorthaired Pointer and the Bernese Mountain Dog. Mountain from the Bernese. Pointer from the GSP. The name tells the whole story.
These are brilliant, loyal, high-energy family dogs built for the outdoor life of the American West. They are not casual dogs. They are not outside dogs. They are the most devoted, intelligent, and extraordinary companions we have ever known — and we want them in homes that are ready for that.
First generation puppies available June 2026. $800

Mountain Pointer puppies are raised in our home in the shadow of the Wasatch Range, by a family that has loved German Shorthaired Pointers for years. Our two registered GSP mamas, Aspen and Maggie — formally known as Princess Aspenita Consuela Banannahammock and Baroness Margaret Hilda Scratcher — were bred by the neighbor’s Bernese Mountain Dog, who had very strong opinions about the fence between their yards.
We cannot entirely blame him. Look at these puppies.
We are Carrie and Kevin. We are not a kennel. We are dog people who believe these animals deserve families as committed as we are. Every puppy goes home with a complete care guide we wrote ourselves, a Wyoming Outlaw Kennel Club birth certificate, and our phone number — because we mean it when we say we are here for the life of your dog.
We screen every family. We ask real questions. We will tell you honestly if a Mountain Pointer is not the right fit for your life. We would rather have that conversation than place a dog in the wrong home.
We have two litters arriving in late April and early May 2026.

Litter Two — Aspen’s litter Due approximately early May 2026 6 confirmed puppies, possibly 8 Ready to go home late June/early July 2026

We review every application personally and respond within 48 hours.
We talk with every family before placing a puppy. This is not a transaction — it is a placement. Please fill out the form below honestly. There are no trick questions and honesty will not disqualify you. What disqualifies a family is not being the right fit for this dog, and we would rather figure that out together now than have it become a problem later.
